Yes there are such devices. Personally, I find them more trouble than they are worth YMMV.

I use an HKS to load my 9mm magazines at about a round a second. You'll find them at most local and online gun stores.

I use a speedloader for my Glock. Sure makes it easier to load up those high-cap mags.

What he said!
When Cyphur & I were at the range, he had not laid eyes on a HKS loader before. In no time, he was loading the .45 mags faster than I could shoot them!
REALLY saves your thumb.

I've tried 'em, but found they don't do me much good.
I normally only load 5 rounds at a time while practicing, occasionally 10, seldom the whole 15. I only slow down on the last two or three rounds. The rest feed plenty quickly with just my left thumb and right index-finger and thumb.

As Mojo said, they are sometimes more trouble than they are worth - at least to those who practice regularly.
We keep several kinds around the range for sporadic use by some older ladies and gentlemen with weak hands - and girls.

HKS speedloaders are excellent for double stack magazines. My mags have Wolff extra power springs in them, and the speedloader is a must for me.

I use this thing to help me load mags at the range:

All it really does is save wear on my thumb. It doesn't make me any faster at loading them.

That's the one I use, as well. Yes, it
is a thumb-saver.
