Impressed with Surefire E2E

The other day I got a Surefire E2E to replace my pocket flashlight, a Maglite single AAA cell. I realized that the AAA light is way underpowered for self defense and since I am preparing for CHL I decided to take the plunge (my wife doesn't know yet how much I paid
![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
).
I did not compare it with the AAA light but I did compare it around the house with a Maglite 3 D cell and all I can say is "wow", noticeable brighter for a fraction of the size.
The only advantage of the Maglite 3 D cell would be on distance, since is more focused and has a larger mirror it will illuminate at a longer distance. However, since I am not taking the E2E hunting (yet) this is not a concern.

You're doomed. This is the beginning of the end and you can never turn back.
Good lights are like good peppers. You can't have just one.

You want to know the worst part? There are
people who understand the fascination with good flashlights!

Glad I'm not the one who gave that link out. I do have it and frequently check it though... Used it a lot to get my last 3 flashlights (2 for running 1 for EDC).

Anyone have any expierience with the Digilite flashlights? I am interested in their NT9 rechargable. Output is 175 lumens which makes it a weapon in itself!

I think we should all just admit it. We're addicted to anything tactical. I've got several Streamlight Scorpions, and a few Surefires myself. My favorite is the E1. It's just like yours but only takes one battery. Even easier to conceal. You'll be very happy with your new light.

Keep in mind that as far as legality goes a maglite is a
flashlight ![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

I haven't used the NT9, but the I've got the T6 weaponlight on my rifle and it has been a good light so far. I've put several hundred rounds through the rifle with the light attached and no problems yet. Their high pressure xenon bulbs are strikingly similar to surefire bulbs, but I'm not especially impressed with the low pressure bulbs.

The E2E is my standard carry light... it's just plain awesome.

Hence the 4D maglight in my truck. The 6D is just too big.
