No more shooting for me!

#1

Post by Beiruty »

Yep. I just witnessed this morning in Walmart @75 in Plano, TX. A man in his 50s clutching 5 WW 100rd in 9mm and 1 WW 100rd in 40 and running like hell out of the gun counter. As if it was the last loaf of bread in the world. I was upset by his rude behavior, since I was there for more 15 min waiting for customer service to assist me. The guy came and opened the big brown boxes and took what he wanted. He was giving me bad looks too when I asked did you leave any? No more shooting for me, till the Ammo "shortage" and people calm down and stop behaving like mere wild dogs dying from hunger.

For God sake, it just cheap shooting range bullets!

Dry fire, TLR-2 here I come :thumbs2:

That makes me angry too! It's a shame that there wasn't a quota on them. There is at my closest W.M. 2 boxes. :rules:

That guy has no consideration for his fellow shooters.

Did he steal them? My local Walmart makes you pay for them at the counter and has a 6 box limit. Unless you are friendly with the cashier, then she lets you buy 10. :thumbs2:

I'm not quite clear from your post what was upsetting about the guy's actions . . .

Did he shoulder you aside? Cut in front of you in line? Take a carton out of your shopping cart? What?

From your post it just sounds like ammo was available in larger cartons or shipping boxes, and with no WalMart help around, the guy was proactive, opened the large carton, and took several boxes of ammo, presumbably to be paid for at the counter up front . . . whereas you were waiting around to be served.

From personal experience at WalMart, the wait for service can be QUITE long, so unless there's something not included in your post, I'm not seeing a problem here.

This is why I bought a .22 pistol and rifle... so I can at least shoot something.

One is not allowed to go behind the gun counter. This is why I waited while the other guy helped himself. :nono:

:iagree: Besides, and I'll wager 4 rounds of .380 that the guy wasn't even a Texan! :txflag: :smilelol5:

thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure what the issue was either.
FWIW, maybe you could have a network of friends to check the area ammo stores and help each other out. I bought some for a friend a few days ago since he made his request known.

You did the right thing by not going behind the counter. :tiphat:

Ah, I see . . . my own local WalMarts have no such signs establishing store rules.

(On the other hand, while I strive to obey actual laws, I've never really been a stickler for mere rules. :evil2: )

It sounds like the guy followed the 6 box limit rule, even while he used the self service method.

Oh yeah...and that is the same Wally World where the retard bought the last boxes of 357 sig a few weeks ago in case he decided to purchase a handgun in that caliber some day. People are acting nuts over ammo, but what is making it worse is uneducated counter jockeys telling customers that ammo is about to be taxed 500%.
