Glock 19 Carry

#1

Post by GFGrand »

Hello everyone,

I've utilized this forum for a while now but haven't taken the time register. I got my permit with a PF9 and never really carried it all that much. I recently bought a Glock 19 after selling the PF9 and have been very excited since coming home from the range. I've kind of been lax about carry lately and want to commit myself to daily carry once again.

I'm currently in the process of looking for a quality IWB rig. I used (and will never again) an Uncle Mikes IWB for the PF9 and thus never really carried all that much (uncomfortable). I've been scouring forums and have come up with some options I wanted to see if I could get some opinions on. Anyone have experience with any of these and if so what do or do not like about each of these?

CrossBreed Supertuck - http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've read a lot about these. Everyone that has one seems to like it.

Comp-Tac C-Tac - http://www.comp-tac.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Equally impressive reviews.

Kholster - http://www.kholster.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Similar to CrossBreed in many ways except for price. I like what I've read so far.

Applegate Holster Works - http://www.applegateholsterworks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Found them on Ebay and like what I've read as well. Can't find any reviews online. Anyone have any?

Hi GF and welcome to the forum! Sorry I can't answer your questions, as I am searching for the most appropriate one myself, given my size and stature.

There's a whole topic of holster topics in the holster forum, down towards the bottom of forum listings. You might want to post there too.

I carried my G23 - same size as your G19 - in a Galco Royal Guard horsehide for 6 or 7 years and loved it. It's older design, all leather, and not tuckable. But it is very sturdy (good belt loop snaps) and held up to daily use for that entire 6 or 7 years and I still use it from time to time when I can where an untucked cover garment
