Holy Moly, AKs are expensive now!

I just had to say....I was poking around Gun Deals and went to the AK kits section for the heck of it. When I first got into AKs, I got the "build bug" and as most bit off more than I could chew and ended up paying to have it built. Anywho....I bought an "excellent" condition Romanian G kit with all matching parts for $99. Now the only place that has any of them in stock is listed for $399! Then again, when my dad and I got my first AK (WASR-10...boy it was junk as I picked a dud) we were buying 1K of 7.62x39 for $80...at the gun show

wow, and here i was thinking $390 for one was a deal... I never knew ak's were that cheap at one time! I woulda bought at least 2!
