Message: I saw your Question of the day poll this morning and am wondering, did you intentionally make it misleading because your station has an agenda, or was it done out of simple ignorance? The current bill in Austin would in no way, shape, or form, permit a CHL holder to have a gun in their desk. The ONLY thing this bill would allow is for CHL's to have their handgun LOCKED in their personal vehicle while at work - thats it. I miss the days when the news was reported by unbiased, well informed journalists. Today's media, as exemplified by your poll, is neither.
The question was about making people fear something that doesnt exist, its unfortunate he wouldnt acknowledge that fact......We understood the bill completely... The question is about extremes... Not about the actual bill.
We wanted to know if you thought nothing should be done or does the bill not go far enough...
It's a simple question -- I suggest if you didn't like it you shouldn't take part.
Thank you for your note.

Based on the attitude I read in this quote, I would have to recommend everyone not listening to KTRH and other than to see who sponsors the news. I would then contact the sponsors and let them know why I am not purchasing their products any more. It's a simple question -- I suggest if you didn't like it you shouldn't take part.
Stupid answer Roger! Again it is not about extremes, it is also not about inducing immature responses to a poll question that misrepresents the issue (bill) and those that support REALITY!!!We understood the bill completely... The question is about extremes... Not about the actual bill.
Again illiciting immature poll numbers to reflect an inaccurate portrayal of CHL'ers and gun owners in general will lose you a lot of listenership! We wanted to know if you thought nothing should be done or does the bill not go far enough...
Hey Roger, I have a poll question for you...If you don't like it, you are certainly not required to take part either, but I would suggest you pay close attention to the results...It's a simple question -- I suggest if you didn't like it you shouldn't take part.
No, no, thank you! I'd update yer resume there bucko...Thank you for your note.

I think the sarcastic attitude displayed in this response is worse than any possible attitude displayed by the original poll.
The poll and response were biased and ridiculous. But, content wise, KTRK is the most conservative station in Houston. If we boycott KTRH, we lose the opportunity to hear Hannity, Michael Berry and others.stevie_d_64 wrote:When you get right down to it, when you trust what few conservative leaning radio stations you have to listen to, those advertisers really will listen to those like us who have a problem with who they spend their money on to get to a segment of the community that is a little more mature and reasonable...
Plus we are correct to be a little concerned about the question they asked, much less than the sarcastic response by Roger Hudson...
The question is, what would we, and should we expect any change if we lit up their inboxes and switchboards???
