For concealment, I find ankle wear to be about as good as it gets. A Glock 27 in a Fobus ankle holser works well for me. I like the Fobus because the gun "snaps" into it securely without a thumb break type setup therefore requiring one less step in an already clumsy/awkward draw.
On a road trip when I am spending the majority of the time sitting in the truck, I can get away with a Glock 30 in the same type Fobus ankle holster. The G30 on the ankle though is pretty heavy if you're going to be walking a lot.
What ankle gear are my fellow forum folks using? If any. I am curious to hear others equipment preferences.

' Glad the Fobus ankle rig and Gock works for you. Being somewhat of a "fan" of ankle carry, I tried that years ago and there was just too much bulk and weight there for my tastes.
Wearing 6" lace-up boots much of the time, what's worked for me to "strap on and forget it" are 5" wide elastic holsters with no "garter thinge". And small lightweight pistolas. Primary is S&W 340 with CT 305 grip that goes at a total of just 15 ounces loaded.
I could not easily find a 5" elastic holster when time for an ankle rig for new PM-9 a couplke of years ago, so had leather shop make me one from an old 5" wide belly band. PM-9 rides loaded (6+1) at 19.4 ounces. Much more than than, to me anyway, starts feeling like an anchor when worn all day ...

HV,
Probably???Got me, I've always called them Assault Systems. They make ballistic nylon gear, such as gun bags, drag bags, slings, holsters, etc. I bought the two ankle holsters from an Assault Systems Dealer at a Dallas Gun Show about twenty five years ago. One for a small semi auto and the other for a small revolver. They both have a velcro strap to retain the weapon and the weapon fits deep into the holster. The strap to attach to your lower leg and ankle is very large and is velcro also. A good secure holster for the gun and to your ankle or leg. Worked great for me for twenty years and Ive bought one for my son in law who is a Detective with Midland PD to carry a BUG in. DOES NOT WORK or CONCEAL WELL WITH SHORTS.

go to the concealment holsters and then to the ankle holster. New and improved version of what I bought for me and it's the one I bought for my son in law.
