A few weeks back I took my dad shooting, and he fell in love with my G17.
Fast forward to last week, Mom had surgery on Wednesday and was supposed to be out by Friday. Complications set in and she is still in ICU and not very coherent. Dads feeling pretty down.
I went between visiting hours yesterday and picked up a new G17 for him.
Got back to the hospital and asked him to come to my truck with me (hospital posted) where I gave it to him.
During the next two hour visitation, he was telling Mom all about it. Not sure if she new what he was saying but the smile on his face was priceless.
For however brief, it helped take his mind off of the worry he was feeling.
Fast forward to now. Dad just called and Mom has finally woke up and is somewhat coherent. This is finally some good news.

A great blessing for both. Continued prayers & recovery for Mom. A blessing for you & Dad on the 1st day at the range.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.
