I am looking for a FFL in the San Antonio that can transfer in few Mosin Nagants for me, since I don't have a C & R license yet. I know Wetmore does it for $20 / each, but I am looking at getting about 6 rifles, so thats over $100 in xfer fees.
Traveling to Austin area is not a problem. I love excuses to get me up there.

If no one on the forum jumps in, you can go to Gunbroker.com or galleryofguns.com and use their FFL search features to find one. That's how I found Wetmore in the first place. If you think Wetmore is too steep for you, the bad news is it had by far had the most inexpensive transfer fees when I was looking for a transfer in the San Antonio area. It has been awhile since I have done any transfers, so things may have changed, but at the shops I have visited lately, $35-$45 per transfer was the norm...
good luck.

I haven't been a live customer of Tip Burns (Burns Gun Repair) but have talked to him on the phone on a couple of issues and he was real helpful.

Decoy Shed
Blanco, TX 78606
phone: 210-495-6100
fax: 210-495-6102
This gentleman south of Blanco transferred a rifle for me, charged $10 and was quite pleasant to deal with as well. It has been a few years ago but info is still on Gunbroker so I would give him a try if the drive is worth it to you.
Enjoy!

Try the Bullet Hole Shooting Range on Grossenbacher. It is the place I always use. Great people and fair transfer fee.
