If you are looking for good leather or something other than Uncle Mike's, Collectors in SW Houston has the best selection with which I'm familiar.

There is a custom place in Houston that I bought from. Tucker Gun leather. About same price as max-produced - but way better quality. Why not buy local to top it off!

Last time I was there, Shooters Station west of Conroe on 105 had a good selection of Tucker and other holsters.
Also, last tiime I was at Tuckers, he didn't maintain an inventory to sell.
We have a forum member who has a store very close to Tucker who stocks his goods, but I can't recall his name. Robert? Edge something?

Though not on the north side, Fountain Firearms has a good selection of various brands. They are at Hwy 6 and Bissonnet - that's about halfway between I-10 and US-59.

THe last time I was at Shooters Station (about a week or so ago), they didn't have nearly the selection of Tucker's products that they used to, unfortunately. Also, the last time I tried to drop by Operators Edge, it wasn't there. I do not know if it moved or if it closed down.
It's not North Houston, but Champion Firearms in College Station has a good selection of Galco leather (and Comp-Tac Kydex). Not actually being in the Houston Metroplex, I can't really help any more than that. Good luck finding some gunleather that you can walk out with rather than having to order it.

There is a gun show at the Pasadena Convention Center this weekend, so that's an option, though the last time I was there, they had a limited selection of holsters. I haven't found a large selection anywhere in town, and being left-handed, find nearly none that I can use. Carter's Country has a lot of Bianchi holsters and some others, all right-handed.

Operators Edge is now in the north, on I-45 near Rayford. It is in a little strip mall on the east side of I-45, north of Rayford.
