Browning HiPower resources

I've posted this before, but it's been a long time and we've had many new members sign up who may be HiPower buffs.

Stephen Camp has written an excellent reference/historical manual on the HiPower entitled The Shooter's Guide to the Browning Hi Power. I strongly recommend it to anyone who has a HiPower or is considering getting one. Stephen also has a Hi Power Disassembly reference manual that consists of six plastic encased pages with photos that are very helpful.

These are excellent resourses and will make a great addition to your firearms library.

Regards,
Chas.

I really enjoy reading Mr. Camp's handgun and ammunition reviews on this and other forums. He seems very knowlegable and is a good writer.

I'll have to refrain from reading the book right now for fear that it will make me really, really want a Hi Power. As if I don't already.

Hello and thank you so much for the kind words concerning the book and guide. They are appreciated.

This is a Mk III 9mm I bought used. It was dirty and a little dinged up, but when I cleaned it up and made a few minor changes for my own use, it has served well. I believe that CDNN is out of the 9mm MkIII pistols imported by the actual maker, FN, but IF you can find one of those, the price would be roughly half or a little more, than for the same gun with Browning's markings on it. I've seen a few dealers at gun shows selling the FN-marked NIB Hi Powers for but a little more than what CDNN was selling them for and it is still a really good price; something in the $400 area, I believe.

Best.

Hello. I have had at least one in my possession since 1971 and intend to continue that way.

A different Mk III, but one that is also very lightly modified...

Hello. Yes, I expect she will. Seems as though that's happened before....

Best.

PS: Keep your eyes peeled and you may very well find a good deal.

Again, not nice. What a beautiful gun. You've had that gun as long as I've been alive.

MY wife is talking bad about ME.... because I haven't got her one yet.

About the FNs, is the 9mm Single action or that SFS thingy?

Hello. Mine are all single-action, but I would gladly give the SFS system a "chance" should I run across one really at the "right" price.

Best.
