Post AWB Currency: Lowers or Mags?

Now that we're the Obamanation, we've all seen how in anticipation of the coming AWB that sales of EBR components are rivaling the frenzy of the Dutch Tulip Bulb speculation.
It's not unusual on the gun boards to read about individuals buying 10 lowers or 20 mags or couple thousand rds of ammo.
So for the hoarders and speculators, which do you think is the better investment: Stripped AR lowers or hi-cap magazines?

Donations of money and time to the NRA and other pro-2A groups. Phone calls to both our own elected servants and those in charge of the multitude of committees. Donation to the campaigns of proven pro-2A Congressmen in both the state and national levels. Letters to every media source that dares lie about events or our Second Amendment Civil rights. Boys and girls, we can purchase this and that and I will not say don't. However, to see free citizens acting as if something bad is destined to happen makes my blood boil.
There will be another AWB only IF we do nothing to stop it. There will be a gun ban only IF we except the leftists lies that they have the power to do it. I will fight these socialists nuts until the last breath leaves my body and I know 80 million more dedicated civil rights activist are behind me and ready to stomp any anti-freedom bigot that dares speak against our rights. I am steaming for a fight. I am ready to go today. By the power of a pen or the letting of blood let them come. Every speech they make about taking my progenies right to keep and bear arms will ensure another donation of time and or money to our civil rights groups and organizations. These elected servants work for us and exist to protect our rights. If they don't do that we have no need for them any longer.
I am sorry and my intention is not to steal any posts or sound harsh against any opinions or requests for opinions. I just cannot stand the pity-party one more second. If a 2A true believer wants to ensure they have what they need then stand up and act like the free citizens they are. I will not go quietly into servitude...will you?

Nicely played.
Now.
Lowers or magazines?
I just bought 20 ea 30 rounders and 5 ea 20 rounders.
I might buy a few lowers, probably 3.
I do not plan on selling any.

Don't think you could go wrong either way. I'm stocking up on all of the above. When you buy a lower, go ahead and get the lower parts kit as well.

I would get lowers AND I would consider putting every kind of attachment available on every gun I own. Then put together your guns and take pics with a date stamp on it and save it to at least one CD and put that CD somewhere it will be safe. Why? Part of what they may try to do is stop the attachment of any and all accessories to these rifles.
You can also look for mag bodies or used mags with bodies that are in good shape. They can be had for cheaper than new and the inside can always be replaced. Also, I would suggest ammo and/or reloading supplies to include the machines. They could try to outlaw reloading. I don't know how any of this would happen but I don't trust any of them at all. One truth about leftists is that they will try to do what they want no matter what the COTUS or the law says.

We bought two uppers and 6 more magazines in the past few days. That's what I could get ahold of. If I could have bought a lower, I would have. Didn't have enough money for all of it, and since we've already got two 24" varmint barreled ARs, the two uppers we bought convert those two to carbines.

The "frenzy" out at the Big Town Gun Show in Mesquite this weekend should be something to see...

I already own an AR so I am buying magazines and ammo. Although, if I come across a deal on a stripped lower I may pick up 1. I won't be buying dozens of them. Personally, I think those that are buying dozens of lowers are only doing so hoping that in a year or so they can sell them for beaucoup bucks.

Maybe, but I believe and hope that the majority are stocking up for the evil day, God forbid it comes to that.

I bought two lowers, the AK I was thinking about, and finally bit the bullet on a Robison XCR.
I ALSO changed my annual membership to the NRA to life, and I am going to join the GOA, and TSRA here shortly.

I went ahead and picked up 2 stripped lowers back in May, and have picked up a few magazines here and there over the summer. I am always on the look out for good deals on ammo and have a pretty good selection at my disposal right now. I just wish I had the cash to add another couple thousand rounds of ammo and a dozen magazines to the stock pile.

If it comes to that, there will be plenty of EBRs laying on the ground that you can pick up.
