Estate Sales?

#1

Post by pbwalker »

I've talked to a couple of coworkers about hunting and they've mentioned that they have picked up their long arms at Estate Sales. Is this fairly common? Where would one find info about Estate Sales? Local paper? I'd love to have the opportunity to pick up some old collectibles.

Thanks!

Do they usually list if they are selling firearms?

Map out a bunch of garage sales in your area, make the rounds of the sales early (but not before posted opening time), and ask if sellers have anything that shoots they might want to sell. Have cash in hand. You may find some treasures.

I LOVE estate sales! I've never thought to ask if they sold firearms. I always thought those items were automatically passed to the family.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I went to a yard sale a couple of months ago and got a Winchester 94, a Remington 710 w/scope, a mossberg .22 and a couple of cool knives all for $300. They advertised that they had some guns and it was a little ways out of town, so I went right when it started and got some really good deals.
