I wanted to tell you that I recently purchased an HK P2000sk. I am very satisfied with it. It seems to be the perfect carry gun for me. I got the DA/SA trigger. It's in 40 cal.

I couldn't be more pleased. Suggest you consider one if you're in the market for a small carry gun. I'll be glad to show you mine.

Whew, got some more time so here's some additional info. I got to fire the little HK and its great. I was able to keep the group to about 3.5 inches, although I'm sure it's capable of more as I'm an average shooter. I used the fixed distance pistol range at PSC. I think it's about 10-15 yards.

It's slightly larger than a Glock 27 and is very concealable. I have the da/sa trigger. S/a feels like about 5 lbs. Don't know about the d/a. The mag holds 9. I used a variety of commercial 40 cal ammo and had no problems. It's very lightweight.

I traded in my Glock 27 for it. I thingk the Glock is a brilliant pistol, but I have never been able to shoot my 27 or 23 worth a darn. I haven'nt been able to adjust to the Glock triggers and the grips feel awkward to me.

I think I shot 1911 style pistols for too long. I like the sa triggers. I think the HK barrel axis to grip angle is closer to that of a 1911. I think that's why I like it. Also, the grip as well as the gun itself is about the same size as a 1911.

Bottom line is I think the HK p2000sk ergonomics are similar to the 1911.

My ideal carry gun has always been a colt officer or defender size pistol. However, I have never felt comfortable carrying one cocked and locked inside the waistband, which is practical for me.

This little H & K seems to have filled my needs for a pistol capable of sa fire. I don't have a problem with the first shot in da, althogh I'm less accurate on the first shot. The sights are 3 dot and easy for my old eyes. The grips have 2 inserts which allow you to change the size.

How about you folks? Do any of you shoot HKs?

I've got a USP45 fullsize.

It's as reliable as anything. I run it single-action.

It was my first gun, and is the handgun I usually carry.

OH yeah! I don't yet have the 2000, but I have had a H&K USP .45 for a few years now. It is the best handgun I have ever fired! It's not your traditional Concealed Carry weapon, and it's not particularly easy to do, but I have absolutely no problem whatsoever betting my life on the fact that it will fire when I need it to. I have used several different brands/types of ammo and the only FTE's I've had are due to my magazine being loaded for too long making the spring too weak. Now that I have learned that lesson....no problems.

I have an H&K USP compact in .40 I've had this pistol for about 4 years now. I like the grip angle and trigger. I have had no problems in terms of reliability. I am able to conceal it with a Comp-tac holster. Specifically the CTAC. I'm so impressed that I now have to go and get one in .45

I just picked up a P2000 SK yesterday and put about 300 rounds through it, I love it! I got the LEM trigger, I am use to the Glock trigger and wanted the same trigger pull every time. It is really accurate and super easy to conceal. I got a Milt Sparks VM2 for it through Lightning Arms it's a perfect holster for it. I love Glocks but the HK feels great and looks a lot better. I think it conceals a little better too, because it is more rounded and less square.

H&Ks are quality guns.

I carried a USPC in 45 cal for a while. It was a bit big for me, but it was great.

According to the KISS priniciple I carried it DA w safety off and a round chambered.

I would like to check out a P2000

Have had a USPf-9mm for several years now and love it. I've handled and dry-fired the P2000 LEM and that is my next major purchase. I just need to stop buying milsurps all the time and actually save up enough $$'s to buy one....
