Yesterday was the Law family photo day, not just my family but my folks, my sister and her family and my brother and his family. The women decided that everybody would wear blue jeans and white button up shirts, tucked in of course. For the first time I realized what having a pocket pistol is all about, being able to stay armed when you cannot carry in your conventional manner. Talk about feeling like you forgot something! Try walking through the mall surrounded by hundreds of people without the one thing you never leave the house without. Yes, the pistol was in the truck, but a .32 in the hand beats a 9mm in the truck.

Think after I purchase my K frame snub I'm going to look for a Kel-Tec.

I'm thinking about purchasing a pocket pistol. There have been many occasions where it was not possible for me to have something on my hip. I'd rather hit them with something small then with nothing at all.

Having a variety of carry methods for even the same pistol can help. On a day when needing to dress like that, I'd probably dig out "Kangaroo" holster. Flat semi (such as Kahr) rides nicely under weak-side armpit.

My brother turned me on the the holster a while back. He even carries a Glock 33 in one.

A downside that I discovered when carrying PM-9 in mine, is that, in the wrong posture, the gun can slip out. Gonna have The Wife fix that - once I can get her to give me a little "sewing machine" time.

A pocket holster is a poor sublstitute for for a primary carry. But it is a great answer to being unarmed. I have a K-TP32. My wife has a Baretta Tomcat & Mother has a K-T3AT. No one in the family has an empty pocket when cant carry what is BEST. I highly recomend them. Pocket poppers that is.

Other people , except work, don't dictate what I wear...... That said if I had to wear that my trusty ankle holster would be handy. ;)

Here is one of those times that a SmartCarry comes in handy. Unless you have to wear skin tight jeans. My 'relaxed fit' jeans have room for up to a SIG P239. Usually a Glock 33 or a Kel Tec P11 rides there.

I have a P32 and a Desantis Nemasis, it looks like a wallet in the pocket, if you even notice it at all, good set up for pocket carry.

An ankle holster is an option. All I have is an el cheapo ankle holster, combine that with boots and Wranglers and the ankle holster doesn't work all that well...at least as far as getting the 642 out of the holster that is.

Any recomendations on an ankle holster that works with Wranglers and boots??

Yup. The Kangaroo holster is on my want list. Not too sure why I haven't invested in one yet, just haven't done it. My neighbor has one and swears by it. That's the only way he carries now.

I like my Galco Glove. Works great with Wranglers, but I don't have the boots...

I carry a 1911 six days a week. On Sundays, funerals, weddings, etc. . .I carry a S&W 340PD in my front pocket with a holster. I do not even feel it sometimes. I never go anywhere, unless commanded by law, that I do not carry. I avoid the Post Office, that what secretary's are far. I avoid some hospitals, that what deacons are far. I think the pocket pistol is a lot better than my cross pen. To fat for the ankle hoster, can't see the feet

Hi guys, I would think that drawing from the "Kangaroo" would be clumsy at best.. can anyone provide me insight on that method of carry?

I have a little North American Arms .22 mag that is very reliable to about fifteen feet. I have practiced a good bit with it and find it useful when no other gun is appropriate. I admit that it is nowhere near ideal, but it beats the heck out of nothing when it is sitting in my pocket next to my folder....

340pd on ankle or Kahr mk9 in my pocket.

I've had an NAA mini revolver, an NAA 32acp Gaurdian and a Sig .380 but after shooting a bunch of rotten pumpkins with all of the above I decided that anything less than 38 caliber just wouldn't do for me.
