Here's the final product.

A little background.. It started off as a Springfield GI .45 that was completely stripped. Everything I want is in it. It was passed around from smith to smith and finally ended up at Caylor Custom Guns. Mike worked his magic and got it running 100%. I just got it back this evening. I think I have a permanent smile now.

Nice looking gun HT. Now send it back. The thing I like best about 1911's is the holes in the trigger. J/K

Grieder short trigger
Ed Brown extended mag release
Ed Brown extended thumb safety

extended ejector (forgot brand)
barstock plunger tube (forgot brand)
Wilson Combat beavertail

Entire gun was lightly dehorned for carry
Reliability tuned
Slide to frame tightened
Trigger job set to 3.75# (wanted something in between 3.5-4#

I ran 275 rounds through it today. I had slight ammo issues (blazer brass). Other than that she's fully functional and accurate (more than me).

I've known of a few people that have had ammo issues with Blazer brass. Personally I've had no problems with it in either my Springfield 1911 or my Glock. I guess some guns like it better than others.
