?? for someone who owns both LCP & P3AT

With Ruger selling all of the LCP's they can produce, they aren't going to worry much about accessories.

What I would like to know is whether the belt clip Kel-tec makes for the P3AT will fit the LCP.

I looked at that at the gun show. The P3AT has screw holes the LCP didn't have any straight forward place to attach the clip from what I could tell. That was one of the negatives about getting the LCP over the other.....the clip sure is a neat add feature.

That's too bad. As I said in another thread, I've got better pocket guns and I've certainly got better belt guns than the LCP.

But I can clip the P3AT IWB to my pants in addition to whatever else I'm carrying.

I'm a big Ruger fan, but I can't justify the LCP if it won't serve in the same manner as the P3AT.

I was personally all over the LCP bandwagon when it first came out and I was trying for months to get my hands on one. I was lucky enough to come across one, right along side of the P3AT. I wound up going with the P3AT. The belt clip is nice and the price was cheaper...I am happy with my decision and glad I didn't go with the LCP.

I own early P-32 s/n 005x8 and early P3AT s/n 005x8.

The P-32 allows a better grip due to the 10 rd mag. It was a shame that Kel-tec never sold a 8 or 9 rd mag for the P3AT.

Both of these are very handy to conceal using the belt clip.

I have a 'universal' clipdraw mounted to my XD subcompact. works great.

it's held on by what looks alot like double-sided tape. but it is very secure. I'll probably get one for my LCP in the near future.

MIght work. None of the ones pictured allow the gun to ride as low as Kel-tec's clip.

Three observations, and my experiences may not be yours:

1: My P3-AT is a piece of trash, 4% consistent failure rate over 1000 rounds, either FTE or FTF. Fluffed and buffed, treated it like a baby. Two other friends got one right when I did; all 3 have been back to the factory, one major repair job done at home. Raise your game, Kel-Tec.
2. LCP has been flawless in shooting. The checkering could be a little better, it moves around in your hand a bit, so you have to squeeze a little tighter than the Kel-Tec.
3, The Kel-Tec belt clip will fit the LCP. It does take some patient adjustment... a small headed hammer, lots of tapping, test fit every few taps and try not to scratch the gun. If you are willing to gun a little time into it, it works like a charm. ;-) So, don't let the belt clip hold you back from an LCP.

Again your experiences might be different. You may have a flawless Kel-Tec and a crappy LCP. Anything is possible these days. Except for an attractive Glock (hey relax, I never said they weren't good guns)

My P3AT went back once, but it worked well after. Based on my experience with it, my brother and two friends bought a P3AT. One of those made a trip back. But everyone ended up being well satisfied with the P3AT.

I've handled an LCP, but never fired one. I own a P3AT and have fired it a few times. If fit an finish count, the LCP wins hands down. The P3AT is a cheesy piece of trash. That being said, mine has fired every time I've pulled the trigger - which, to be honest, isn't that many times. I've had maybe 150 rounds through it. But, I personally can't get past those clips. They may work just fine, but on a P3AT, they just take an already ugly cheesy gun, and make it uglier and cheesier - but that's just me. Maybe it doesn't bother others so much.

Since this is not my primary carry weapon (or secondary, or tertiary even) I just slip mine in a pocket holster and carry it that way when I do.

I pretty much read what Kel-tec intended - P380.

I own both the LCP and P3AT. I did a complete F&B on the P3AT prior to firing it. The LCP was cleaned and lubed. I have a couple of hundred mixed rounds through each of them. Both have been flawless. Being small, both can be easily limp-wristed causing FTEs. The LCP is very well finished and I personally like the feel of the grip better than the P3AT. I really can't tell much difference on the range. Both are "snappy" and not really fun to fire. That said, they're not range guns. My LCP is usually carried in a DeSantis EZ-Rider or in a DeSantis Nemesis for pockey carry

I used to carry a larger weapon but found myself leaving it in the car or not carrying it. I never leave home without the LCP.
