Shooting while pregnant?

My lovely wife of 2+ months recently found out she is pregnant. At this point in the pregnancy (less than a month), is it safe to go shooting with her? I'd like to take her to the local outdoor range tomorrow night.

We know lead is bad for children but I don't know if there are studies on fetus development. Safest thing is to avoid places with airborne lead. If she's not an avid shooter already, now is not the best time to introduce her to your hobby. If she's already an avid shooter, I'd look into higher quality airsoft pistols as a substitute.

Congratulations to you.

The general consensus is that there are safer alternatives during pregnancy.

Jim's noted thread is good. Simply put, there is NO REASON to subject a fetus to that sort of risk. Developmental disorders are forever.

When my wife was pregnant the doctor advised against it... definitely not worth the risk. Congrats btw! Kids rock!

Yep, stick to bbs or airsoft for now. Its only for another 8 or so months, and not worth the risk. Congrats on the news. Wish yall the best.

Darn. I just got my wife a P32 last month, and yesterday she tested positive.
Wouldn't have been so bad except that they were doing the test because she was in for gallbladder surgery. Guess that'll have to wait too.
