Being a FFL dealer, I can get just about any brand. Stocking up and then testing them will drain the bank account. Every person has their pick 40 or 45, 3in or 4in, and the brand. I am looking for something that will last, carry well, and do the job if needed in a hurry. Thanks for your groups help and look forward to the new CHL family...

Glock 36.

I have carried a Glock 23 and now I carry a Kimber ProCarry, I prefer the the Kimber as for its easier for me to conceal in both hot and cold weather. there is a big plus for me that is that I prefer 45 over a 40 . I carry 9rds in the gun and 2 Spare 8rd mags.

You will get a lot of different opinions on what to carry so you need to just try and find what you like for them.

the most important part of carrying is a Good holster and belt combo and like most here I had a big box of holsters .

Glock 26.

Glock of your favorite caliber.

I like other pistols better for various reasons (I carry a Hi Power), but for plain utility a Glock is a great starting point. It is the revolver of the sem-auto world. Simple to use, reliable, extremely durable, comes in several self-defense calibers. You can't go wrong with it. You might find later you can do better, but it's a good choice.

Blue Bell Homemade vanilla and a Kahr PM9 both ride on my waist!!

1) The Para LDA of your choice. The ramped barrel and fully supported chamber make this one dead on reliable. The LDA trigger is the best around. Hammer down carry for peace of mind. "Point gun, pull trigger" simplicity of operation for when things get incredibly tense. Finally, and I know that this last item will not necessarily be the same for different people, my 6.45 model is the best natural "pointer" that I have ever shot. When I do un-aimed (i.e. point shooting) draw & fire drills at 7 yards or so, the gun seems to almost always shoot wherever I happen to be looking. Whether it's the size, the balance, the grip angle, or all of the above, it just works great for me.

2) Commander-sized 1911. Why? Well, a little trickier to carry and operate than the Para, but I just flat like 'em.
