Self Defense Shootings and legal results for/to homeowner.

Hi all. New to the site. Where is the best place to read about shootings in seld defense and the aftermath of cost, legal battles to the person doing the shooting. I am a new chl carrier and would like to read up and learn more.

Can't say that there is much in the way of anyone here that talks much about any self-defense shooting that they have been personally involved in...

But as far as discussion about the law, equipment, politics in regards to gun control (pro and con), this is the best state site I have ever participated in...

American Rifleman magazine usually devotes a couple of pages for stories about successful self defense situations. I have never seen them go beyond descrbing the actual incident, but it is a starting point for reference if you would like to research each case a bit further.

Oh...

Go to the TSRA website...They have a nice "dated" list of self-defense incidences over there...

I kinda forgot about that one...Thats a good list though...

There is a book called "The Best Defense" by R. Waters. It's got good descriptions of several self defense shootings. Not a lot on the legal side, but a good read overall.

It is a good question and I find it interesting that, after ten (?) years of TX CHL, there are no accurate, easily accessable databases for self defense shootings by TX CHL holders.
