I'd love to post a picture if you could give me some tips on how to actually capture that! Seems like you'd have to be as lucky as catching some lightning on film.

Top photo is thompson contender in 357 maximum, bottom photo is ruger super blackhawk in 44 magnum. Camera was set on tripod and shutter held open for the shot, you can see car headlights going past in bottom photo.

They were sixteens, and a very wide path was cleared...Just because we felt like it...

Never heard of a .16 caliber, and they look a little big for a 16 gauge!!
Seriously, that is pretty impressive muzzle blast. Would definately NOT want to be downrange of those 16" babies!!

I didn't think we needed to specify a decimal point in thar! Its self explanitory...
Being on the receiving end of 9 volkswagons is not a good thing...

I will have to look around and see if I can find some muzzle blast pics from my five inch guns, including a couple of saluting round pics. The saluting rounds used black powder and really had an impressive flash along with a huge amount of smoke.
Actually that's what those battlewagon guns appear to be doing, they are depressed too far to achieve much range.

I have a Sony Cybershot 7.2....
The first pic was a total accident but all of the others were intentional.
I can set my shutter on continuous. All I have to do is hold down the shutter button and keeps taking pics. Smetimes you get a good shot, sometimes you dont.
I will be playing with the vid option to see if I can pull still shot from the vid.

FYI, the Remington JHP from Walmart puts off quite a muzzle flash and the UltraMax ammo found at Dicks (mostly .223) has the most flash I've ever seen out of a rifle!!!
