Not Much Action Today...

It's not fair.

Almost everyone is at PSC at the party.

I'm stuck here in Katrina country Baton Rouge LA working, looking at a dead TexasCHLForum board.

Mmm, I'll bet those burgers Chas is cooking up are good. I'll bet Stevie wore his yellow orchid Hawiian shirt to hide the mustard stain. That's what I'd have to do too.

The familiar scent of burned gunpowder and solvent is in the air. Moms and dads with their kids exercising their precious 2nd Ammendment freedoms in this wonderful country and state of ours.

Sigh.

I guess I will drive back to the RV and cook me up some bachelor type food. Maybe I'll stop at Sonic for a burger. Bet it won't be as good as Chas is cooking. The good thing is I will have my pistol with me, enjoying the reciprocity Louisiana affords me to exercise a constitutional right.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time, and a safe one as well.

In case ya'll forgot there was a storm named RITA that tore up South East Texas. I'm here in Rita-ville looking at downed trees and crushed buildings. My roadrunner was restored only a week and a half ago and there are a lot of folks who still don't have electricity in the rural counties. Insurance adjuster? On my second one and haven't seen one yet! - - - FEMA? Who dat? - - - Red Cross? :?

Several of us did take time from our personal cleanup chores and went out to the gun club and cleaned up the IDPA and handgun silhouette ranges today. We'll be shooting IDPA at 0800 on 11/05 8)

Mojo, you hit the ten ring w/ that. A lot of us are just now getting out from under the limbs & debris. Some here in the piny woods are still out of power & some rural stores are still selling out of tents. We also had our first shoot this Sat. since Rita. Things were not completly back to normal at the range yet. We have worked on our own, the neighbors, & the elderly at our church. We worked almost 2 weeks with a 10 man work crew & a feeding crew cleaning up the down trees on elderly folks property. Every Sat. & the days people had off in the week. I am glad things are returning to normal this next week here. I know it will be a while in other places before that happens. That was my first at 55 yr old. Hope I am in glory before I see another Hurricane.

Actually I wore a stylish flannel shirt covering a black, light-absorbing t-shirt...

Very non-Steve-ish...But a refreshing change of pace...

Maybe I'll start a new magazine...

"Fashion and CCW" (the do's and don'ts)

- pg 23 "What screams GUN!"

- pg 42 "Is that a .45, or are you just glad to see me?"

- pg 55 "Fashion FAQ's"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y'all have created a monster..."Wife Unit" wants a .45 now...

She really liked Charles', Les Baer "Thunder Ranch" .45, what am I to do now??? uggg

I can see it now..."Les Baer will make my wallet le bare"...oy...
