An interesting development. Probably doesn't matter much to rifles that will eat anything, but it sounds like good stuff for those wanting something a bit more premium for an SD AK. From the announcement today:

The KUSA ammo was developed by a team of engineers and ballisticians to create the ultimate ammunition for these classic rifles. During the manufacturing process, we shot over 50,000 rounds on all of our 7.62x39mm platforms to ensure the highest confidence in consistency, performance, and reliability.

It uses an FMJ 124-grain, lead-core bullet, and they show a fairly tight muzzle velocity range of 2329.40 FPS to 2378.61 FPS. I don't know if they plan to sell via other retailers, but their direct price is $10.50 per box of 20, $225.00 for 500, $450.00 for 1,000.
