A few more things I learned today:

If you're intending on hunting deer and go to a range to sight in your rifle, and the elevation adjustment screw on your scope just spins instead of actually adjusting anything.... what the heck, it's only a deer - it'll be good enough.

Add to this: "Even tho recoil scares the crap out of you, one must buy a .300 WinMag so one's manhood is proven at the lease. Thus, 20" groups are completely acceptable....because it's a WinMag"

3” groups from a scoped .224 Weatherby at 100 yards are cause for celebration for you and your buddies. Pretend you don’t see the sub-MOA groups the old guy with the iron-sighted Swedish Mauser in the next lane is shooting.

Don’t shoot pistols at long range, because it strains the gun.

Copy an 80's movie/TV show by swinging the muzzle along with your head... they do it, it must be right (doesn't matter who you point it at!).

When someone hands you a rifle, immediately ask for the magazine full of orange training rounds, and when they're slowly handed to you by a suspicious friend, run to the next room, jack a round into the chamber and pretend to shoot your roommate

...some of the most careless people I've known with guns were cops...I wouldn't go shootin' with most of 'em...makes no difference who it is if they can't take instruction from an RO-they go...
