I found this searching by the perp's name. This was in 2010. link
The entire article wrote:A man found only in underwear was arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery of a Beaumont Dollar General.

Beaumont police were called to Dollar General, 4050 Fannett Road, at about 9 p.m. Thursday, where a robbery had been reported, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.

Employees told police a man had entered the store with a handgun and demanded money, which an employee gave him, the release states.

The man then ran from the store.

Police and a K-9 unit searched the area with the help of neighborhood witnesses, the release states. A man that matched the robber's description was found in his underwear near Estelle Street and Glenwood Avenue, the release states.

A second K-9 unit found the store's stolen money and the gun used in the robbery.

Bryan Keith August, 22, of Beaumont, is in Jefferson County Jail on an aggravated robbery charge. His bond has been set at $50,000.
2 years later and this guy is still out robbing people?

Have you had a chance to ask why there were no follow up shots, not having been there i would like to better understand the situation.

I posted earlier in this thread somewhere that the perp saw he was drawing and began to move backward/fall by the time the gun fired.

In the dark and between two parked cars, he just disappeared quickly and went out of sight when he went down and rolled behind the truck.

In real life multiple shots aren't always possible.

In this case, he was prudent not to pursue the perp and shoot him again.

The threat was stopped (he dropped the shotgun) and the assailant was retreating at a remarkably brisk pace.

must have missed that part, i was just curious. I understand the part about not always having that chance for follow up shots.
