Re: A word about small CC guns
I'm a newb to forums. This is my first post to this forum. Anyways...
I've been legal to CC for a few months now. I been around and shot guns all my life. I'm no sniper but i am proficient with many types of weapons. I took my wife shooting for the first time last weekend. She had never shot a gun before this. I want her to be confident with guns and get her CHL too. We shot my LCP and Glock 26. She was indifferent about it initially but enjoyed it as she shot more. Between the two she put about 120 rounds down range. She had problems racking the slide on both, more so on the LCP. She did good and I was proud. After the session we looked at the handguns in the for sale case. I had liked the P238 but hadn't had a chance to handle one up to this point. She liked it and asked the sales guy to look at it. He explained how it was a hot seller, especially for women because of the easy slide action. She loved it. I played with it too and ....well now I gotta save some money to get two. And after reading through this thread, I know it is the right choice. Thanks all.

As others have posted here...practice...practice...practice. Any gun is only as accurate as the person using it. For those that have trouble being accurate with small hand guns... just keep practicing and you will get better.

Absolutely positively love my P238 once I got over some initial problems (Sig made it right...great customer service). It's pretty much my daily right now. I hope she loves her's as much!slingshot wrote:I'm a newb to forums. This is my first post to this forum. Anyways...

Re: A word about small CC guns
We have put about 1,000 rounds through our P238 and it is now a complete love affair. Being new handgun shooters dear wife and I were frustrated/very frustrated with the little Sig about getting on-target but it was not the fault of the Sig - it was completely due to a lack of technique on our part. The little Sig is a beautiful (we have the Equinox model with night sights) thing
. I just ordered 1,000 rounds of 380 auto target ammo for it.
