Re: Thinking about a compact .45 for concealed carry
Joe817,
Thank you very much!!! I have been looking for a Queen like her for a long time. And not a safe queen at that. She goes where I go, well not work. Wish I could take her to work with me, but I like my job. One day I will work for my wife and I will get to CC from when I get up till I go to bed. Again, thank you for the kind words.

Yes we do. Mine owned her own photography business. I hope to work with her soon. This way I can get out of the chemical plants.

Great business Calvin! Photography can be very lucrative. I hope it's soon, and don't blame you for wanting to migrate to a more friendly endeavor.calvinbr wrote:Yes we do. Mine owned her own photography business. I hope to work with her soon. This way I can get out of the chemical plants.

I use a Colt New Agent .45 from time to time. Very compact.

Spent some face time with the Springfield XD-45 4" today. As much time as you can have without shooting it.
I REALLY like it.
One I like even more is the S&W M&P .45. That sucker is niiiiiiice! :)

So what stopped you from buying? I've been following this thread closely as I'm in the same market, at the same point you are. My budget is a little more than yours but a $1000+ Kimber is definitely out. I drooled over many at the Market Hall show yesterday but didn't purchase.

Re: Thinking about a compact .45 for concealed carry
What's stopping me from buying is A) just because my budget is a certain amount does not mean I actually have all that set aside already and B) I have not completely made up my mind what I want, and C) the boss has not given me permission to make the purchase, if you catch my drift... All I hear is "babe, we have a wedding to pay for" lol

here's my strategy....
go ahead and make the purchase .
then wait until shes in a good mood to spring it on her .
as this may take some time for just the right moment , try to come up with a good justification .
something like , "you know all those times you got your nails done ? , it cost no more than that "

Wadderyatrintodo? Get him put outside in the doghouse for 3 months?USA1 wrote:ronzorelli wrote:Sho nuff! Can I get a witness? :)USA1 wrote:nuff saidronzorelli wrote: the boss has not given me permission to make the purchase

Best thing is to go ahead and buy it...DO NOT let on that you have it for at least 3 months, then let her find out on her own. And when she acts surprised just tell her "oh honey, I've had that for such a long time. In fact it's been so long I really don't remember how far back I bought it." If that doesn't get you in the doghouse, counter back with USA1's suggestion.
