38 yrs (almost 39)
Male
Industrial Vegetation Management Guru
Married for 15 yrs with a 12 yr old son (he's a good shooter by the way)
Scheduled for CHL Class on 2/9/13
I'm a "Glock guy", which is what I intend to carry. I own several but will carry my G26 or G19 when I am within my rights to do so.

Hopefully I'll get to shoot with some of you folks in the future...thanks for your time!

btw: It is presently irritating me to no end to see locally purchased ammo being resold for twice to three times the original purchase price. If you dont need it for your own stock, leave it on the shelf for those that do.
I'd love to shoot with a fellow glocker! What part of Texas are you in? I'm a 19 guy and my bride has a 26

Fellow Texas I come before you to Introduce myself and I hope you do not judge me to harshly for my lacking promptness in securing a C.H.L.

Political View:

Times have change since I was a young man and they will continue to do so.

I firmly believe in what our Founding Fathers of Our Great Nation wanted to do to Protect Our Rights. And for us to pass on to Generation after Generation. Our Rights are being taken away, and we need to stand firm. As a group discuss our thoughts and pass them along to 1 more person to another and another to protect our future families. I can no longer stand idle as I have done so these last 40 years.

I find it hard to comprehend how our Current Political leaders, and some People think that are Founding Fathers were Inept, not hardly my Fellow Texans.

So I ask you all fellow Texans to do what ever you can to help preserve what our Founding Fathers Suffered to give to us.

.22 on up to 45-70 Rifles

Somehow I missed this earlier, but here goes!

27
Female
Degree in journalism and criminal justice, background working variously as a reporter/photographer/editor/designer, currently a stay-at-home mom
Married 5 1/2 years -- kids ages 4 1/2, 2 1/2, and 8 months.
No CHL yet -- working on finding a class that I can work around the baby's routine.
I have a S&W M&P 9c and so far I love it. Waiting for tax refund money to fund a nice belt and holster, not certain which type yet but leaning toward Crossbreed.
I live just outside of Austin, and have been in the area most of my life.

In case anyone's curious, "MotherBear" is both the obvious (I want my CHL so I can protect my kids and myself!) and because I'm a Baylor grad. Sic 'em, Bears! ;)

32
male
Texas A&M Class of 2003
3 kids 12, 2, 6 months

Had my first renewal last year.

Carry a XD .40cal sub compact in a Tuck This II at 4:30 and a Sig P238 in an ankle holster.

My theory, 2 is 1, 1 is none. XDs are very reliable, but it is a mechanical instrument, it can fail. I'd rather carry two and never use either than be in a situation without a weapon and need one.

My name is Steve and I was born, and raised, in central Florida.
Florida's horrible economy and anemic housing market forced me to temporarily move to Louisiana.
If everything goes as planned, I will be moving to Dallas in about 3 months.
I work in the dental field.
I'm an Army veteran.
Divorced with two step-daughters.
I have a Florida CWFL, a Louisiana CHP, and will apply for a Texas CHL when I arrive in Dallas.
I enjoy Astronomy, Biking, Camping, Geocaching, Hiking, Hunting, Recreational Shooting, & Scuba Diving (Open Water, Wreck, & Cave).

I look forward to meeting some really fine Texans on this forum and hopefully, in person as well. God bless Texas!! :txflag:
