ps: everytime I hear the name "attack of the show" I die a little inside :-(, does anyone remember the screensavers, or ttv, or unscrewed :-(.
I was an avid Tech TV / ZDTV Fan back in the day! Leo Laporte was on almost every show! I learned a lot of about computers from watching them (they are the ones who got me into Linux) and owe a little to them for getting me where I am today with IT.

I still listen to Leo Laporte on XM radio. He truly rocks!

There was a radio computer show I listened to in the late '90s, hosted by Mark King, I believe. He was from Texas. Very good show, and I won some nice (expensive!) software just for calling in.

With luck, I'll go to my grave not knowing what 'Attack of the Show" is or was.

Someone just posted a link to the video in question on a professional forum I frequent with a "this is funny" tag. I shot back a scathing "no it isn't" reply along with a technical explanation of why.

Wow, I can't believe the up tight attitude here. I thought it was funny as :evil2:
If you look at everything with such a cynical and high and mighty attitude you must live a bland life. It's funny. If he was teaching her gun safety and it was her 1st time holding a gun, there probably was not any ammunition around. I know when I show my GF a new gun, I make sure she can operate it and dry fire it with no ammo in it before I give her a loaded gun.

Everyone I know that are gun owners found this to be extremely funny.

I say she did alright, she didn't throw the gun, she put it down on the table before running off.

That is the exact reason I think it is staged. Who doesn't throw something they think is about to explode in their hand?

This video isn't about "teaching" anybody anything. Life is already hazardous enough without resorting to playing dangerous games with firearms.

well, I was turning a chicken friend steak last night and forgot my hands were wet and the grease started to explode on me, yet I was still able to turn the steak over without throwing it. (I did get a nice burn on my palm though.)

Well obviously you don't throw something awesome and delicious like a steak. A 1911 on the other hand... :leaving
