I never had a problem with reliability or overall functionality but I stopped buying steelcase ammo.
Thats what I was thinking, more for plinking and hoarding, not for competition.
I always clean my guns after shooting so no problem there. More concerned about reliability with cheap ammo.
A friend of mine bought some. Couldn't resist the price. Through lots of jams, and trial and error, we figured out it would stick in a hot barrel. If you fired no more than a few shots, and then left the barrel empty, it was okay. Don't leave one in the chamber of a hot barrel. it will stick. Probably the coating.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Yeah, don't want to be shooting one shot at a time. What if there's a hoard of zombies? Thanks for the info.

22LR prices are almost back to good old days
555 rds for $28/box. I grabbed 3boxes as I am depleting my stock by shooting frequent steel Matches. DPC real steel was a blast.

My local Wal Marts never have any .22s. However, my closest Academy is usually well stocked.

I returned what I got from Academy, Winchester plastic box are on sale for $8 per 100 plus tax. I grabbed 3-boxes and returned them less than 1/2 hr. Walmart at Spring creek and 75 in Plano had those 555 boxes.

Academy in Conroe had .22LR boxes of 525 for $28 when I was there this weekend.

They also had American Eagle 5.56 XM193 for 6.99 per box of 20

The Academy stores around me have .22 ammo on the gondola shelves and end caps. No limit as far as I can tell. BTW My Academy doesn't allow the return of ammunition.

Neither mine, but when you enter the store in Camo with Green Cabelas' hat and large 1911 under Bushnell heavy hunting jacket, all that leverage does help. :biggrinjester: :biggrinjester: :biggrinjester:

Seriously, the Ammo was sealed and un-opened, the SM waved as Okay...

I tried to return a sealed case of 12ga Win AA and they said there policy wouldn't allow it. I actually just wanted to exchange it for a smaller shot size. I'm glad that every once in a while rational thought prevails.

Best 9mm ammo deal I have seen in a while - Remington has Black Friday $5 rebate for each 50rd box of UMC ammo.
https://www.ammunitiondepot.com/916-rem ... n-fmj.html 6.99/50rds of 9mm, Shipping on the 2000rd max for the rebate max ($200 max rebate) would be about $26, so about $507-$200 - $307 total for 2000rds - about 15c/rd.

Midway email has Blazer brass 9mm on sale. It isn't a write home deal but better than any of the local walk in and pick it up deals around here. Today only.
