Just saw this post, and it seems like a good idea. I'm "donh", and I'm a retired avionics engineer, from Lockheed Martin - I led the design/coding work for the F-16 HUD for the Modular Mission Computer, and retired with a really sweetheart deal at age 60 (I'm now 61.9). I was raised with guns; got my first .22 for Christmas when I was nine years old; immediately took it to my Grandmother's farm in Burleson (she had 64 acres back then), and started shooting just about everything that moved (except the cows and dogs). Did that until I was about sixteen, when it occurred to me that it might be bad to shoot innocent animals. Just about the only thing I've shot since then was a few weeks ago at my girlfriend's house in Jacksonville, Arkansas; shot a squirrel that was attacking the bird feeder. Of course, I would have no problem with shooting human intruders or any other lifeform that threatened me or mine. Got my CHL in March '09, and love to poke holes in paper and occasionally shoot skeet and trap.

Real close, Hockley. About 15 minutes. Usually shoot at Hotwells in Cypress or Gun Emporium in Conroe.
