I do too, and I haven't been this month so far. I've always wanted to go to Alpine, but it's just to far, when Winchester G. is only 7 minutes from me. There's probably half a dozen forum members or more who's in the close in area. Lonewolf & I met there last month and had a great time.

I'll be looking forward to it.

Welcome bigmojo! I am certain that you will like (maybe "love" is a better word!) this site. Plenty of info and just us Texans (some that live out of state, but Texans nonetheless), with concerns and opinions that matter to us.

Once again, welcome!

Hi everyone, newbie (to the forum, not to guns) here. Just sent off my CHL application and thought this would be a good place to while away the time waiting. Been around guns most of my life, mostly shotguns and rifles but with some handgun experience. I developed a renewed interest in handguns in the last few months and have been spending a lot of time at the range with a variety of firearms. My favorites at the moment are my Ruger SR9 and my Rock Island compact, both are a lot of fun to shoot. I try to take my 11 year old son with me as much as possible, so a Ruger Mark I gets a lot of use and a Llama .32 and Charter Arms .38 Special see some range time as well. Started my son on a .22 rifle when he was 6 and he's now graduated to shooting all my handguns as well.

Hope to learn a few things while waiting on my CHL and hope I can contribute as well.

Welcome aboard RocTrac!
I just know that you will enjoy your stay here, not to mention the MASSIVE amount of information, suggestions, and not to mention the jokes! you will find here. Have your wife visit the Ladies Forum, perhaps she can get some insight there as to what to carry.

Come back often!
