But good shooting comes from repetition and practice with whatever platform you're carrying, and choosing a given platform over the others isn't in and of itself going to make you a better shooter. Practice and repetition does that.

I have seen people with the most expensive guns, with tons of customization, designed to make the trigger/action/recoil/reliability, top notch, not be able to hit the broad side of a barn, and still blame the gun. I have seen some of the cheapest, poorly made guns with terrible triggers, finishes, and sights, shoot single holes in paper, because the operators practiced enough to know all of the issues, and worked to overcome them.
Apparently you have never shot a Lorcin .380. Worst shooting gun I have ever owned. Not to brag, but I'm a pretty good shot and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn standing three feet in front of it with hundreds of rounds through it.
Actually, I have fired a Lorcin .380 once that belonged to a friend. I was able to hit the paper upon which the target was printed, at about 5-7 yards, but I could not say with any certainty exactly where on the paper the pill would poke a hole. But the main reason I stopped shooting it after not too many rounds was that I was afraid that I might frag my own shooting hand with gun parts. It just did not project a sense of mechanical reliability........at least not with any more reliability than it projected bullets toward paper. The words "pot metal" come to mind. I might have had more confidence in balsa wood.......
