I also highly recommend the following:

1. Bring the gun over to my house and lock it my safe for a while - 2 to 3 weeks minimum - to see if you really can live without it.

2. If you can live without it, then give it to me for permanent safe-keeping.... ....in case you ever change your mind.

3. If you cannot live without it, then give it to me for permanent safe-keeping.... ....we'll put a "library card" on it and you can come check it out once in a while for supervised range trips.

4. If none of the above are acceptable alternatives for you, then give it to me for permanent safe-keeping. I'll send you emailed pictures once in a while.

You have an addiction. Drastic methods are called for.

TAM's points are all valid, and his generosity in helping you with this is commendable.

However, I have a safer safe and would let you check it out more often....
