Elgato, there's nothing wrong with being a three Kahr family.

The above got me laughing. My 20 year old daughter came home for a visit last weekend. Late Sunday I'm laying around watching TV...she hops on the end of the bed like a cat...and says "Daaaaaaddy, theres a pair of Steve Madden shoes on e-bay that I really, really, like......"

Well, to make a long story short, two pair of shoes and 180 of my dollars later, my baby girl is happy. Oh well.

So yeah, I know what you're talking about. They don't even have to say anything, its just a look that you recognize. The little devils learn it early too. :???:

I think they start at about two years old and just keep practicing and practicing after that. It becomes a lifelong hobbyand us dads just eat up every moment of it! My G36 was a victim of this, I finally had to get another one, now I see signs my G26 could be next!

I respectfully disagree. I think they start "comparing notes" at 2 yrs. old! They have rudimentary language skills by then.

I believe with all my heart... they come down the birth canal knowing exactly how to manipulate Dad (its instinct).

Just kidding. I love my girls.

I have only one daughter, although we don't share any DNA. I have three sons with my DNA, plus one without, but I'm Dad to all five chirrens.

My babygirl is the daughter I was afraid of having, when I was busy having sons. That's both a fearful thing, and a blessing.

Her mother and I had often joked about the "rules for dating my daughter". (Quick aside: John Ritter was her cousin. EastTex connections, yanno!)

Anyhoo, through no particular planning on our part, when babygirl's first real, official date came to the door, the three of us (me, wife, babygirl) had guns in our hands, and there were a couple of rifles on the kitchen table being cleaned. We'd just been to the range. Quite apropo!

I didn't feel moved to elaborated about curfews, shovels, or my big back yard.

I can relate to all of the above. With 4 out of 5 kids being girls.

When the oldest brought her 1st boyfriend to meet us, I was setting with the shotgun across my lap. We laugh about it now, but she didn't think it was funny at the time.

Now when they come visit, the 1st thing they do is go to my safe to see what is new. Time to change the combination.

Now I'm really in trouble because 4 out of 6 grandkids are girls.
