It is fun when the kids enjoy the same hobby as dad.

That's some great shooting, and a happy smile :-)

Great shooting. You seem like one very proud Dad and rightfully so.

Several of us were discussing shooting targets in front of my neice (she was about 4 at the time)...poor kid panicked, she couldn't figure out why people were shooting at her Most Favorite Store in the whole wide world!

Nice!
After much discussion, negotiation and some gnashing of teeth I took my 12 year old Nephew to the range. He shot the following:
1. 50 rounds through a Ruger .22 revolver
2. 50 rounds through a Berreta NEOS .22 semi
3. 50 rounds of 9mm through a 1911.
Then as his prize for absolutely correct range conduct and trigger discipline he got to squeeze off half a mag from the full auto P90!

Re: took the 16 yr old daughter to Shiloh - PICTURE ADDED!
Congratulations on your daughter's shooting skills. That alone might keep the boys at bay. :) Glad to see another homeschool dad on the forum. We made time at the range a family outing last Saturday. My son-in-law's father has a personal range on his property, and he is very willing to let us shoot there. My 12 year old daughter loves to shoot. My 16 year old daughter...not so much. My wife is almost obsessive about it and wants a .22 rifle now. What really surprised me was how much my wife loved shooting the 12 ga shotgun our son-in-law gave us. She was a good shot with it too.TDDude wrote:She's shot rifles and has even taken a couple deer but this is the first time with a pistol larger than a .22.
We homeschool our children and firearms training is just like math class. They don't have to like it but they have to be good at it.

I wish!!! That one is a rental. It was at Top Gun shooting range in Houston. Unfortunatley unless you are LEO or an Authorized Class III FN dealer you can't get one. You can get the PS90 which is the civilian version semi auto and longer barrel. You can also cut the barrel down and make it an SBR as long as you pay the $200 tax and get LEO sign off and apply with the BATF. But there is no way to legally own a full auto versionThat is awesome!!! I've read a little about those P90's. Where did you get one?
They are fun to shoot. Because of the cartridge and the bull pup design they are easy to control and keep on target. The mags hold 50 rounds. The civilian version, the PS90, runs about $1800 at Internet retailers... I definetly plan on adding one to the arsenal soon.

Is your son-in-law married to the 12 year old or the 16 year old?
