I would think the 5 gallons of lawn mower gas would be more of a concern to the FD. Thinking about it, gunpowder is one of the least volatile things in my garage . Gunpowder is a flash, Gas, Oil, Automotive products burn long and hot.

More of a concern are propane cylinders for BBQ grills and other compressed flammable gas items. These can be a major issue. BBQ cylinders are about 20 lbs (4.5 gallons) each of LPG. I store about 130 lbs (30 gallons) in the garage for my balloon, so the fire department has it listed in my special instructions for my residence.
