Re: Update -- My Break-In
Glad to hear that you are getting them back. I have Remington 22 that my Mom and Dad bought my grandfather for his birthday many many years ago. He gave that to me about 5yrs ago. I will shoot anyone (givin the chance) that tries to take that one item. I understand about your shotgun.

I hope you bought your neighbor a bigger gun and a range membership afterward.Charles L. Cotton wrote:I did that several years ago when our home was burglarized while I was out of town. (My neighbor shot him several times, but that's another story.)

Re: Update -- My Break-In
Well, I think there were four of them. I think this because 4 of my knives from the butcher block were found around the house. This is wild speculation on my part, but I'm guessing that they grabbed those in case they were disturbed. From the condition of my walls and stuff they had a hard time manipulating the safe out of the house.Mike from Texas wrote:Awesome, glad to see you got them back.
Coupe of questions if you don't mind. How big was your safe and how did they manage to get it out of the house?
It wasn't just a locker, but it was by no means a $4K safe either. It was a Sentry safe that I'd guesstimate at about 300lbs empty. Definitely moveable by 4 guys. I talked to a local guy at Cabelas, and he told me that one of his customer's recently had one of their huge safes removed from his house, and that they had done it on golf balls. I can see how that would work once you got it on the golf balls, but I have no idea how you'd do that.
That is a fantastic idea! I will definitely ask about that. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement out there folks! Stay safe.Charles L. HPD let me go to the property room and grease my Browning 270 with RIG and put it in a case. Maybe you could do likewise.

Was that safe bolted to the studs from the inside?
