If you feel it was wrong, the definitely fight it. Otherwise, defensive driving is a decent deal. With the discount on your insurance, you'll probably make up the money you pay for the class.

I think I'd rather take the $$$ hit and let a lawyer make it go away, rather than go through all the hassle of going to court, begging for defensive driving, sending off for your driving record, taking the DD course, paying all the money anyway for all of that...

I'm not going to give Pasadena money for something like this...
