I used to work for a major pizza delivery chain (not Pizza Hut, tho'). Carry of "weapons" at work was expressly prohibited by the manuel, and the regional supervisor decided to expand that to include my Leatherman multi-tool! However, nowhere was there a 30.06 sign, nor was I ever actually told not to carry a gun.

They could have fired me, had they found out. But I considered it worthwhile to have my .45 tucked under my shirt every day. :coolgleamA:

(And my Leatherman in my pocket. And a couple pocketknives. And a .22 derringer in the the other pocket. :biggrinjester: )

All the pizza chains will fire an employee who finds it necessary to ventilate a mugger. All of them. It doesn't matter whether the employee was carrying legally, whether he reacted appropriately, or how much danger the employee was in. Local management will be sympathetic, but HR/Legal Department will can him.

I don't eat from Pizza Hut for a different reason, though. Their pizza isn't that good. :reddevil
