RIA 1911 9mm Parts

I just bought my wife the RIA 1911 ms 9mm. Yes, i wanted a .45 but she wanted a 9mm. She won of course. Its a midsize 1911 and what I wanted to know is will any 1911 part work with this gun. I'm new to 1911's so i'm not sure. I do know that taking it apart is a little different. For example the bushing is different. So that makes me wonder if I have to get certain parts for this particular model or will most of any 1911 parts work with it. Every ones knowledge will be appreciated.

Most parts will interchange. I belive most RIA have novak style sights so you should be able to replace those also. Look at 1911fourm.com they have all kinds of helpful stuff on there regarding all makes of 1911's.

That is a FANTASTIC shooter. Only gripe is the 1 magazine.

Thanks for the replies. I will check out the 1911 forum. She loves It. She already put around 200 rounds through it. She does want knew sights. She likes the sights on her Sig p238.
