Pellet Pistol

I’m looking for a pellet pistol. I’ve had a couple of Co2 guns that didn’t last very long. Does anyone make one that is a single pump action? Suggestions please.

We just bought a Crosman 2240. It is co2 but has a good reputation for quality. We've only used it a few times but find it accurate and it hits hard. Cant beat it for the price. I believe their pump model is the 1377. Both appear to be well respected in the community.

Ruger's-Umarex Mark 1 (about $80 - got mine at Cabela's) has held up pretty good for us. We've used it on the ranch since spring, and it's come in handy for little critters and some buzzards that have wanted to use our chimney as a roost.

It's a .177 single pump... takes a bit of strength to cock it fully. Seems to be about as accurate as others of the price class.

Match-quality side-lever single pump. Very accurate, reasonable price

I used to have a Benjamin pump pellet pistol kind of like this one - http://www.crosman.com/airguns/pistols/HB22 - except mine was in .17 caliber. It wasn't a single pump stroke, but the upside was that you could regulate how much velocity you wanted by how many pump strokes you used to charge the reservoir. I recall it being a reasonably accurate pistol.

I'm rather fond of my Webley/Tempest pistol. I don't know if they are still made in England as mine was.

+1 on the Daisy, back when I was in 4H we shot those competitively, but after 100+ shots(one pump each) I recall my arms hurting. As long as there was no user error they were quite accurate

Crossman 1377 is a MPP at about $60 at Academy unless you catch 'em on sale for $35. (like I did, hehe)

Another Daisy 717 recommendation. Mine is 30+ now, and has served as a trainer for several people from Army officers to 4H juniors. I got it cheap because the original owner couldn't be bothered to read the directions.

I have had a Benjamin HB17 pellet pistol for a long time. I agree that it is pretty accurate. My wife dispatched a destructive squirrel with it once :-) It does require a number of pumps to be effective though. I just looked up the owner's manual and it says a maximum of 8 pumps that will apparently produce velocity of 525 fps.

Beeman HW70A Pellet Pistol - .177 Caliber - Break Barrel

Maybe a bit pricey for some, but very accurate. And you don't have to buy CO2.
