For ladies only

Some of you ladies might be interested in these, although you have to be fairly slender to use them AND they are a bit pricey.

I may put this video in my Ladies Self-Defense Information Seminar, but first I'd like to see some comments from the ladies. The price seems a bit high, but since I don't buy ladies clothes, I'm hardly qualified to make that call. I'd like to see a larger gun in the video, but it does seem to work well on the woman demonstrating it.

As slim as those look on some of the ladies, maybe I need to see if they would act like a corset for me and help hide my middle aged spread.

Keith, if you get one of those, you are going to model it in the next class!

Charles, I would certainly consider those to be on the pricey side. But I haven't seen anything to compare, so guess they can charge whatever the want!

My wife said, "They are proud of those."

If there is a market, someone will be around soon enough making them for a lot less. I don't know anything about manufacturing such but I would think that a stay-at-home mom could make a good income selling them for significantly less.

A lady in my shooting group has that or a very similar product. She really likes it and brought it the other week to pass around. It seemed well made, and I'm considering whether or not I'd use one enough to justify the cost. It takes me a while to decide to spend that kind of money, but if I do I'll let y'all know how I like it.

yeeeesssss, they are a bit pricey, however......the materials they are using aren't cheap, and really aren't all that easy to work with. I'm not sure how long it would take to make, I could probably work it out but I wouldn't want to take the time.

Gonna see what my wife thinks. She carries a shield 9mm. Cost is high, but I've spent more than that on all those holsters. Besides, if it has quality and performance, it is worth it.

Chas,

She actually demonstrates a full size 1911 in this video, though she does not recommend using such a large gun in this system. I am gonna get one for my wife in hopes she'll carry on body and ditch the purse option.

My wife watched the video and she likes the concept. However, she pointed out something that I would never have considered. She's barely 5' tall and she said the corset apparently comes in only one height. What works for a 5' 4" or taller woman won't work for her. I watched the video again and I don't see how she could wear it for just that reason. I don't know how tall Dene (video) is, but she appears to be of average height for a woman and perhaps even taller. I looked at the website and the corset comes in different sized in terms of waist, but not in height. That's going to be a problem for a lot of women.

she's right, 9" isn't going to work for everyone. I'm not sure it would work for me. I'm 5'3" but I'm short in the torso. For some it might be possible for some of the extra to go into the pants or skirt, but probably no more than an inch or so.

I contacted them about those concerns. Here is their response:
Dear James,

The petite women have loved our corsets! One of our models is 5'4" and short waisted and it works great on her. If

your wife doesn't absolutely love it, here is our return it in 30 days. http://www.deneadams.com/faq.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Go to http://www.deneadams.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to make your purchase! Thank you so much!

They sure are pretty! But the draw is what has me concerned. You have to draw the gun out straight up and, um, well some ladies are bigger chested than the models shown, and this would definitely cause problems. Also, this would be too hot to wear in Texas in August. Yes, this is a much better option than purse carry though, and instead of a second weapon you could use the other slot to store an extra magazine. The price does not bother me if it's very good quality materials and handmade, it seems like a fair price. I spend way more on purses. I don't know what the other ladies think of doing up 9 eye hooks to get this on, but I have no patience for 3. Lol.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

The ones I've seen also have pockets in the back, which would make drawing easier for the well-endowed among us. Not sure if this specific version does or not.
