A few years back, when Arkansas Department of Corrections operated the Bi-State Jail in Texarkana, a forced-cell move involved a thorough dousing with chemical agent, followed by an entry team using stun shields. (Basically, a standard riot shield fitted with conductive strips connected to a stun gun.)

At the time of one particular incident, the chemical agent turned out to have an alcohol base. Take one alcohol-soaked individual, add a big sparkly shield... *whoosh*!

They changed their policy soon afterwards.

lol, wow, we never had the fancy electric shields like that. We just put Jason in front with a big club.

Yes, we did have them...it was just a bit before you got there :grin:

They were awesome. An officer died as the result of the "electronic capture shield" in a training scenario and they were taken out of service throughout the state.

oh yeah, i remember you telling me about the spark jumping from the electrodes in the little window... or was that garding?.... hmmm, no matter.

I really miss some of those guys. I have really got to call jimmy.
