I know none of this is really news, but it just made me think, it's amazing how so many good people die so young, but Fidel has managed to live so long.

My guess is that Castro, when he was younger, was not the type of person you would want to run into while strolling the neighborhood late at night. His survival instinct has proven stronger than most and I suspect that he was an extremely effective predator.

Castro is a two bit dictator no different than any other thug. Without the Russians propping him up, he would have died on the vine a long time ago.
