Alleged Pawn Shop Robber Behind Bars

A Lubbock woman is in jail after she allegedly tried to rob a local pawn shop.

According to police, 44 year-old Delna Kay Patterson was armed with a pistol when she attempted to rob A-Acme Pawn Shop in the 4100 Block of Avenue Q Saturday.

The owner of the pawn shop and his wife confronted the suspect and defended themselves by firing two shots. One of those hit Patterson. She suffered only minor injuries.

She is being held in the Lubbock County Jail and has been charged with aggravated robbery. "
