One of the articles I read said mentioned Lamar as the starting point... I didn't read much more after confirming that it's tomorrow afternoon (I needed to be near Westheimer and Kirby this afternoon.)
A competing protest gathering at city hall in Houston this afternoon. This was in response to Al Sharpton's call for a nationwide protest today. Apparently he did not check with QX.
Channel 2's story apparently doesn't have a clue about tomorrow's more important protest march or common street names here. Hopefully protestors will show up at the right spot and walk in the correct direction or there could be confusion and splinter protest marches. Never good for TV coverage.

They'll use a tight shot and make it look like there are thousands instead of tens.
Protestors will be bussed from Wiley park to the River Oaks Shopping Center area. Those who choose to drive themselves are on their own as far as parking goes.
The "walk" route is as I described above, but I believe it's confirmed they'll turn north on S. Shepherd on their return route. So we may see Kirby and S. Shepherd closed down for a period of time tomorrow.
I just hope it stays peaceful and sane.

I had to laugh at the 11 News coverage featuring that Media Hound* Extraordinaire, Sheila Jackson Lee, who had to exhort the audience to look her way because, well, after all, she IS the most important person there!
*Note: My canine objects to the term Media Hound, but other descriptors would be against forum rules.

Envy, I'll buy. Despise, No. I believe a huge majority of these "protestors" would love to reside in RO. Work, Sacrifice, Delay Gratification, Earn the wherewithal to be a resident, not so much.

I wonder how "crazy" I'd look with all my 3 gun gear strapped on. I could have 91 rnds of 9mm, 20 rnds of 12g, and 120 rnds of .223. That's how I would roll if I needed to protect my house. Granted my wife says I look like a dork. May look into a chest rig now that I'm looking at it that's not enough ammo ;)
