Got mine the first year it was in affect......was "lucky" to get one of those stupid 2 year licenses (they were trying to stagger the renewals I guess)..........

1995 DPS instructor school gave me one of the 4-digit numbers. CHL number the same as instructor number for right at 11 1/2 years.

Had a guy at range getting a Freedom Plan recently and provided a real old TR-100 as "proof of training". His instuctors' number was 0001. Ray Allen, one of the original authors. :cool:
