T Shirt idea.

T Shirt idea.
I have an idea for a shirt, but I cant quite put it together.
Ive asked everyone I could think of, but ive decided to request more help for you all.
The basic idea is an irony type shirt.
I want to use the "yes we can" borrowed from our president, but some how refer to the "cans" that we silent shooters enjoy.
Now then, ideas??

Re: T Shirt idea.
I think maybe too obscure, and too many possible meanings at the same time.
Cans means headphones to ham radio operators and audiophiles.
Cans means destroyers to those of us who served in the Tin Can Navy.
Cans means rear ends to a variety of people who call their rear ends cans
And you have to admit that the cans you are referring to don't have much in the way of distinguishing features.

Re: T Shirt idea.
I noticed it is a new poster. Maybe they are just trying to come up with something to talk about. One of my favorite t shirts says in blue letters. "I had the cat neutered. Now he is a liberal".AndyC wrote:So we're supposed to think up ideas for you? That seems pretty rude.
I don't want this to sound rude, but.... if you want a cool design, you'd better start making use of your own creativity.Littoria wrote:I have an idea for a shirt, but I cant quite put it together.

Ha. Im not really new, I just dont post often...
And no I am not looking for creativity. .. im looking for sense.
I didnt even think about the other possible meanings of cans.
So this post did open my eyes to that...
It seems to me that this irony shirt that I intended to make has too many possibilities for misinterpretation. So I think ill hold off on it!

Re: T Shirt idea.
Well, if you want irony, you could do this, but it would take the whole t-shirt.
We use guns to protect our President, our Congressmen, dignitaries, celebrities, sports stars and famous people. For our children we use a GUN FREE ZONE sign - and then call someone with a gun for emergencies.
Or this:
The locks on MY doors are for YOUR protection. Right beneath it, a picture of a gun.
But that's not irony.
I have no idea what "the cans we silent shooters enjoy" are, so I can't help you with that.

The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

In this case the cans being referenced are silencers/ suppressors, whichever term you prefer ,baldeagle wrote:...........

Re: T Shirt idea.
Perhaps my attitude is singular, but when I happen across someone's personal philosophy, humor, boast, etc. printed on a t-shirt or bumper sticker, I just roll my eyes...
However, if one is going to evangelize or declare one's child an honor roll student or whatever, then I'd like to see a vehicle surrounded in brightly colored, flashing neon with constant new messages - perhaps the driver could type it in while under way when inspired and it would then flash all around the vehicle.
Hey, if you're gonna declare your personal philosophy or boast about something, why mess around, go big...
