I just picked up the last 400 rounds of .45 ACP & the last 300 rounds of 9mm from Cabela's in Allen. They've got a lot of Blazer .223, 7.62x39, & 7.62x54r left. Looks like their stock gets replenished on Wednesdays.

1)Treat firearms as if they are loaded. 2)Point the muzzle away from non-targets.
3)Keep fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot. 4)Be sure of your target and backstop.

Picked up some 9mm at Academy in Arlington today. :woohoo Blazer for $13.99. I got a box as did my husband, as well as a box of Blazer 45. We got there right at 8 when they open and there were lots of people there buying ammo! No 22... They said they had 2 boxes but those left with the first 2 customers. Just glad I found what I did as I haven't seen any in quite a while. I am sure its all gone now though.

Picked up a mega-pack at Carter's Country on I-10 today. Buddy called me and said they had rolled an entire basket out. I got there 30 minutes later, and only 6 were left.

They had plenty of .40, .45, .357, etc in 50 round boxes.

1 box per customer per day. And, it was not outrageously priced....

If you are anywhere near Houston you should stop by freedom munitions physical store. That inventory is separate from the Web site. I'm out here in Houston on a road trip and made sure to stop by. Bought a box of 500 9mm for $144 they had probably another 75-100 boxes there.

Tried the old Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 0800 trick at Academy in Sugar Land this morning. No 9mm came on last night's truck. Didn't look like they had much of anything else either... :confused5

Here are directions to Freedom munitions, you are only 25 minutes away. They seriously had tens of thousands of 9mm there, 100+ boxes of 500 rounds. Give them a call to check and make sure though. I went on a Saturday afternoon last weekend and it wasn't even packed. http://www.freedommunitions.com/category-s/1819.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thank you. I was just looking them up on line after I saw this mentioned in another post. I appreciate the tip. It's a nice day for a ride. Think I'll get the bike out and head up there. :thumbs2:

They have a 1000 round limit, but thats still better than trying to pickup a 3 box max from those other stores. Pay no attention to the online inventory, it is totally separate from the store. Hope they still have what you're looking for! I am really lucky my wife let us make the detour on our way through houston. I was finally able to get to the range for the first time in months lastnight.

I was in Tom Thumb today and I found bacon at 6.89 for a 12 ounce package. 4.99 if I had a club card. They had plenty. I went ahead and stocked up. There were three other fellows waiting behind me. I think they may have wiped out the rest. I heard one of them comment that he didn't even need that length of bacon but went ahead and bought it anyway in case he decided to buy a pan big enough to hold bacon cut to that length.

People are going nuts with this whole hoarding thing.

I don't disagree with that but some of us aren't able to get any 9mm at the moment. If I could find some, I'd probably buy 500-1000 rds. I have burned up about $100 worth of gas in the past 3 weeks and have found a single 50 rds box of steel cased :grumble 9mm. Needless to say I haven't been shooting lately. If I could score some 9mm, I'd be shooting it as fast as I could buy it. It';s actually tempting to drive down to Freedom Munitions, from Temple... at least I'd get some ammo for the 2 tanks of fuel!!!

I feel for you. When supplies come back and prices drop down, I would recommend you do some hoarding. This situation is going to repeat itself and each time it will get worse.
